Our brethren Jennings and Ward purposed to start in the gospel later in October. We trust that the Lord will be pleased to bless each of these gospel efforts for His glory.

Malaysia

Brother Tom Bentley has witnessed an encouraging response in a recent gospel effort in Malacca, the like of which has not been seen in years. There were over 120 listening to the message nightly. One company had the English meeting upstairs in the newly erected hall. Downstairs in another part of the building, the brethren "cashed in" on the effort by having folks gathered in to listen to the message translated into Mandarin. This added a welcome dimension to the effort. The meetings closed September 16 with a most encouraging number present in both sections of the hall. The brethren have been truly encouraged and feel it has helped them to move on more energetically in the gospel.

There are two new outreaches - one, USJ4 in connection with the assembly in Paramount, Petaling Jaya; the other, Kota Kemuning, the work of the saints from the Eng Ann assembly in Klang. Both of these are seeing a most encouraging response in Sunday School attendance, and many parents are also present each Lord's Day. There are over 80 children at USJ4 while there are about 40 in Kota Kemuning.
