Hardwick, VT - Sunday gospel meeting changed to 12:15 PM.

Reports – USA

San Diego, CA - Robin McKeown of N. Ireland was with the assembly in June for a series of ministry meetings on Acts 2. His ministry and help in the gospel were appreciated by the believers.

Brookfield, CT - The believers enjoyed the visit of Jim McColl for, ministry on June 11. He also gave appreciated ministry in Manchester and Newington.

Garnavitio, IA - The June conference was helpful, with ten of the Lord's servants present to help in the ministry. Following the conference, William Lavery remained for four nights of ministry on Joseph. On June 19, four young believers obeyed the Lord in baptism.

West Union, IA - The assembly had the joy of baptizing 12 new believers on June 7, with Allan Christopherson present for the happy occasion. Eight adults and four young people, children of the Christians, obeyed the Lord.

Saugus, MA - The believers enjoyed a visit from James McClelland on July 9. Earlier, they enjoyed Jim McColl's visit on June 14 and 16, with practical ministry on the assembly, and help in the gospel. He also visited Byfield and Methuen before going to the Augusta conference.

Watertown, MA - Jim McColl was with the assembly on June 15 and gave helpful ministry, which was appreciated.

Battle Creek, MI - Norman Crawford and John Slabaugh expect to begin gospel meetings on July 26, D.V., and the assembly values prayer for this effort.

Burwell, NE - Roy Weber and Joel Portman finished tent meetings on July 5, and brethren from Stout were continuing in the area with children's meetings.

Pennsauken, NJ - Eugene Higgins and Tom Baker began bilingual tent meetings on July 1, with excellent interest evidenced in the crowds attending. There were a good number of Hispanic students from the area coming, and the Lord worked in salvation from the start, to the great encouragement of the assembly.

Rapid City, SD - Al Christopherson had a month of tent meetings, helped by brethren from Iowa.

Blue River, WI - The assembly had a baptism in June when one brother was baptized.

Judah, WI - Robert Orr and William Skates began under tent on July 5.

Mt. Sterling, WI - Five believers obeyed the Lord in baptism in June. The believers enjoyed a visit from Norman Crawford ministering on assembly truths the weekend of June 22. The meetings were in both Mt. Sterling and Blue River. The assembly also had a week of children's meetings in Gays Mills, with some interest.

Sparta, WI - Jerry Jennings and Dick Bruley began under tent on July 5.

Stone Lake, WI - Art Ward had meetings throughout June and July in a rented building in this community in northern Wisconsin, several hours from the nearest assembly. The Lord blessed in salvation, and there are other believers in the area who are interested in learning more of assembly truths.

Keyser, WV - Robert Surgenor is in tent meetings east of Keyser with Joel Portman in July.

Reports – Canada

Kamloops, BC - The conference on the last weekend in June was a time of real encouragement to the believers.

Langley, BC - Bryan Funston and Dave Richards began a tent series on July 5. This effort was preceded by distribution of Seed Sowers in June, with a good number of believers helping in the effort.

Vancouver, BC - Ronnie Watterson visited the Vancouver assemblies giving reports of the Lord's work in Brazil during June. Jim Currie, Bryan Funston, and Dave Richards shared in the monthly ministry meeting on June 21 in Fleetwood. John Abernethy had helpful Bible readings on 1 Thessalonians in Deep Cove during the middle of June. Reddie Blair and Robert Kenny of N. Ireland shared the monthly ministry meeting on July 5 in Woodland Dr.

Portage la Prairie, MB - Gaius Goff and Peter Smith (Yorkshire, England) began four weeks of tent meetings on June 28. Brother Smith held children's meetings each morning during the week of July 6.

L'anse au Loup, LB - The assembly enjoyed the visit of Jonathan Procopio and Bryan Joyce at the end of June, with profitable ministr from both brethren at a Lord's Day afternoon meeting.

Corner Brook, NF - The conference on the weekend of June 21 was a time of blessing, with God ministering graciously. Murray Poidevin from Zambia gave a missionary report, which gave the believers an appreciation for the gospel outreach in foreign countries where the Lord is working. Brother Poidevin also gave the report in Gander Bay, Mclvers, and Rocky Harbour.

Flowers Cove, NF - Wallace Buckle's visit for a Lord's day and several nights of ministry in June was an encouragement to the assembly.

New Harbour, NF - The Christians were cheered by a visit from Marvin Derksen on June 14.

St. John's, NF - On June 28 the assembly was most encouraged with the baptism of four young believers, two of whom were saved in the last series of gospel meetings in Mt. Pearl, where a week of children's meetings are planned to begin on July 27.

Blues Mills, NS - The gospel meetings in Cheticamp with Ken Taylor and Larry Buote closed on June 12, with a number of good contacts made and community interest in the meetings.

River Hebert, NS - The believers appreciated timely visits from Ken Taylor on May 28, June 18 and 25, and from Doug Howard on June 11 and 21.

Clinton, ON - In June, the assembly enjoyed visits from Tom Baker and John Dennison, who was present for the Sunday School picnic and the following Lord's Day with appreciated ministry and help in the gospel.

Nipissing Junction, ON - A happy spirit prevailed throughout the conference the second weekend in June, when a good crowd gathered. Many expressed their appreciation for help received from the ministry and the Bible readings.

Ottawa, ON - Ken Taylor and Peter Orasuk closed three weeks of well attended gospel meetings on May 10. A week later, on May 16 and 17, near-capacity crowds came for the annual conference, and were not disappointed in the good, timely, and very helpful ministry of 13 of the Lord's servants.

Sudbury, ON - Peter Simms, helped by a local brother and then by Larry Steers after uly 1, had gospel meetings in a tent in Azilda.

Manitou Island, ON - Brian Owen and Al Cook continued tent meetings in Clover Valley into July because of the response and support, with the tent filled nightly and the Lord blessing in salvation.

Home Calls

Bel Air, MD - Mrs. Violet Saneman, age 91, on May 21. Our sister and her husband were saved in the 1920's, and were both in the assembly that met first in Fallston, MD, from its beginning in the 1930's. She, as well as her husband who predeceased her in 1990, was very faithful to the small assembly, and will be especially missed by the believers there. She leaves four sons and twelve grandchildren. Walter Gustafson spoke at her funeral service, which was well attended.

Parsons Pond, NF - Marjorie Payne, age 33, on June 13, following open-heart surgery. Our dear sister was saved in 1980, and baptized and received into assembly fellowship in L'anse au Loup. In spite of suffering with a long-term illness, Marjorie was a testimony to the presence of the Lord in her life, always cheerful, bright, and upbeat. Please remember in prayer her husband Wilf, daughter Dayna, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Belben, two sisters, and two brothers. The funeral service was shared by Bert Joyce, Jim Jarvis, and Francis Barney.

Hickory, NC - Teresa Church, age 38, on June 27. Our beloved sister was saved in 1977, a month after she was married, and shortly thereafter was received into the fellowship of the assembly with her husband Wesley. She continued faithfully and will be very much missed by all her fellow believers, as well as the community, where she was well known and loved. Please pray for her husband and her two young daughters, as well as for a large number of relatives and neighbors who heard the gospel clearly and compassionately presented by David Oliver at her funeral.

Arlington, WA - Nellie Klein, age 92, on June 28. Our esteemed sister was saved in her early thirties in a gospel series in the Okanagan, and with her husband Garner Garrett, was received into the assembly there. After being widowed, she married Bob Klein of Arlington in 1962, and went on faithfully in the assembly, known for her loving spirit and capacity for enjoying God's gifts of life, friends, and family. Predeceased by her husband two years ago, she leaves their combined family of six children and their spouses, 23 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. Her large funeral was shared by Bryan Meyers and John Klein.
