Home Calls

Goodwood, ON - Robert Wayne Snooks, age 50, on August 4. After a two-year battle with cancer, our dear brother was called home to enter into the joy of his Lord. Born in Halifax, Wayne moved to Toronto in 1951. He worked as a respected police officer at the former Metro Force, and then York Region, and since 1995 had operated their Crime Stoppers Program. The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ reached him in 1976, and after his salvation, he went on faithfully, first in the West Hill assembly, then in Goodwood. He was always helpful in the Sunday School and in children's meetings, and in recent years was a faithful overseer in the assembly in Goodwood, where he will be greatly missed. He leaves his wife Susan, six children, and their families. George Telfer, Lorne Langfeld, and Jim Beattie shared in his funeral.
