Paul C. Elliott of Aplington, Iowa was born the son of Alton and Myrtle Whitney Elliott on April 1, 1907, in Aplington, Iowa. He graduated from the Aplington High School in 1925, and continued to be a life-long resident of Aplington. Paul was born again in 1927, and joined in fellowship with the Christians at Hitesville Gospel Hall in rural Aplington.
On February 11, 1929, Paul was united in marriage with Bena Uhlenhopp in Aplington. After marriage Paul became a barber and worked with his father. Following his service in the US Army, as a medic during World War II, Paul became an evangelist and started having meetings within a week.
He died at the Maple Manor Care Center in Aplington at the age of ninety-one. He is survived by his wife Bena Elliott, his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Nancy Elliott; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
