Poetry: Enoch walked with God (Genesis 5:24)

William Montgomery

I walk with God
Earth’s rising sun or battle may surround me,
Mans’ many dread inventions may astound me,
I fear not, for His arm is thrown around me.
I walk with God.

I walk with God
Adversity or guilt may overtake me,
And brethren, true or false, may oft mistake me,
I need not fear, for He will not forsake me,
I walk with God

I walk with God
I have no strength to walk without His power
But when the clock of heaven peels out the hour,
My hand in His, past Zion’s shining tower,
I’ll walk with God
